A fabulously bright and sunny lounge room, including a huge sofa for relaxing, a kitchen & bar in traditional Yacht Club style and a beautiful dining space. The entire living space is furnished with warm herringbone parquet flooring underfoot and walls of polished walnut and is replete with a vast collection of fascinating maritime antiques and ephemera including a fleet of model sailing vessels, nautical history books, pictures and wall maps, plus a pair of photographic artworks by celebrated Hollywood cinematographer and photographer Maxime Alexandre from his first Venice exhibition... all lit by an array of antique ships’ lamps casting an atmospheric glow at night
A pair of glazed French double doors bathe the space in sunlight and open onto a splendid furnished balcony overlooking the rear of the Malibran Theatre and the numerous gondolas gently gliding along the Rio di San Lio canal below. An enormous custom-made deep-buttoned leather sofa looks across to a marble fireplace and brass-framed mirror TV, while a 19th-century 10-pin ship’s steering wheel made by Brown Brothers of Edinburgh and a signal light from an Imperial cruiser (used by ships to communicate in Morse code and today used for additional lighting) adorn the area just behind
To the opposite side of the room sits the dining suite hosting 8 at table, while the very well-equipped kitchen with its gleaming brass maritime bar stools, large pantry, and an abundance of SMEG appliances, icemaker for cocktails etc. etc. plus plenty of cookery books for inspiration, has the distinct feel of a favourite bar where everyone happens to know your name!

A huge, super-romantic double bedroom with a balcony sitting area and a wonderful wood and bronze staircase descending into the sleeping area below*. Furnished with a super king-size Cocomat design bed (200cm x 210cm) where you can drift off to sleep in silence, the room is flooded with diffused light streaming in from a pair of tall arched and leaded windows opening onto a charming and very peaceful neighbouring garden, while the impressively tall ceiling with highly decorated wooden beams and cornicing echo the building’s traditional framework
A Murano chandelier and a series of maps of the Aeolian Islands north of Sicily look down upon the fabulous freestanding copper and titanium English rolltop bathtub (what luxury!) while the opulent en suite bathroom with shower lies just beyond

THE CREW TAVERN & POOL BAR
Dating back to the 1400’s and a room rarely seen in Venetian properties, a wonderfully inviting wooden-beamed hideaway with bar (hurrah!), perfect for partying or relaxing and skirted by gondolas passing at eye-level just outside your windows... ‘Premando / Stagando Oooeee!!!’
A warming refuge with underfloor heating in winter especially when hunkering down in front of its roaring gas fire and refreshingly cool in summer when escaping the heat of the day... play darts or pool with your family on the bespoke bronze-finished pool table that ingeniously converts into a dining table, or simply cast away your cares and put your feet up to watch the 75 inch TV in the comfort of the inviting leather sofa and armchair. Pour yourselves a cocktail or 3 from the bar (equipped with a double-temperature fridge for wine and beer, a sink and small glasswasher), while raising your chosen tipple to our swashbuckling hero, Corto Maltese**, just across the room!
Playroom, Party Room, Wine-Tasting Room, Games Room... the only limit in THIS room is your imagination!
Marshall Stereos with powerful and clear sound are featured in all bedrooms, in the lounge area and (of course) in the tavern. Easy connection via Bluetooth for your favourite music.

OUR COMMENT
A true ‘one-off’ Venetian house celebrating all the warmth and elegance of a traditional old-school yacht club, and a dreamy-deluxe haven for 3 discerning couples and larger gatherings.
Splendidly positioned close to the Rialto Bridge and the café-lined Campo Santa Maria Formosa yet hidden away from the tourist crowds – the best of both worlds!
Within a gentle stroll of the iconic sights and attractions of St. Mark’s Square (via numerous hidden and not-so-hidden routes!), along with a host of Venetian gems including the dainty marble jewel-box church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli (where you can also pick up a gondola!), the art-filled Fondazione Querini Stampalia and Museo Palazzo Grimani, and the cavernous Church of Santi Giovanni e Paolo, one of the largest churches in Venice and final resting place of no fewer than 25 Venetian doges.
Take your pick from a host of traditional bars and restaurants close by... from the upmarket Alle Testiere, L’Osteria di Santa Marina and Ristorante Vecia Cavana through to Osteria Alla Frasca, Osteria La Portego and Hosteria Bacanera... amongst numerous others!

An easy walk to to 2 vaporetto (water bus) stops for easy travel around the city – one at Rialto on the Riva Del Carbon and the other at Fondamenta Nove for trips to the beaches of the Lido and sightseeing visits to the glass-blowing island of Murano, the rainbow-coloured island of Burano and the ancient island of Torcello with its 7th-century Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and the later Church of Santa Fosca.
Also close to the Alilaguna boat service connecting the city to Venice’s Marco Polo Airport (the Blu Line ‘Linea Blu’ to / from Fondamenta Nove or the Orange Line ‘Linea Arancio’ to / from Rialto).
For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. The family space to gather was comfortable. Best part for my family was the tiny balcony where we could watch all the gondolas and boats pass. Really fun. The location is easy to get to and close to everything without being in a dense area. Great restaurant close by. |

A fabulous Grand Canal apartment majoring on quiet luxury and its great location and offering exceptional views extending all the way from the Palazzo Grassi Museum of Modern Art to the left, to the Accademia Bridge (beside our office) to the right, with VOV / Dimora Italia’s Palazzo Cerchieri right next door!
Within a stone’s throw of an excellent variety of interesting small shops, traditional bars and restaurants typical of Dorsoduro, including the canal-side Osteria Enoteca Ai Artisti, Ristorante Bakaro, Oniga, Osteria Alla Bifora, Ca’ Del Vento and Osteria Ai Pugni to name but a few… not forgetting the locals’ favourite Cantinone Gia Schiavi-Al Bottegon for super cicheti and Bar Alla Toletta for some of the tastiest tramezzini in own!
A gentle stroll to the ‘Barca Della Frutta e Verdure’ fruit and vegetable boat moored at the café-fringed Campo San Barnaba (don’t forget your camera!), a well-stocked 2-floor Punto supermarket in the lively Campo Santa Margherita for all your self-catering needs, and VOV / Dimora Italia’s very own ‘A Tavola’ Cooking School offering cooking lessons, wine tastings and a delightful private event space on the pretty Rio Della Romite canal... feel free to ask us for further details!
A short amble to the glittering Zattere waterfront with its fabulous panorama across the wide Giudecca Canal, and to the Squero San Trovaso – founded in the 17th century and the oldest of only a tiny handful of working gondola boatyards still left in Venice today, where skilled local artisans continue to craft, maintain and repair gondolas by hand using centuries-old methods.
Also conveniently close to 2 vaporetto (water bus) stops – one at Accademia and the other at Ca’ Rezzonico – for hassle-free sightseeing and easy travel around the city.

Completamente ristrutturata per raggiungere la perfezione e mantenere lo stesso design firmato che delle altre proprietà di VOV: Gondolieri, Ca' Dell'Opera, Ca' Dell'Ulivo, Ca' Del Teatro, La Baruffa e Ca' Della Luce , questo sorprendente appartamento si colloca ai vertici del mercato delle affittanze di lusso.
La Marchesa si trova in posizione ben appartata, nascosta tra piccole e suggestive calli ma a pochi passi dalla magnificenza di Piazza San Marco e dalla zona più lussuosa dove si trovano tutte le boutique delle grandi firme della città di Venezia, dove potrai deliziare la vista davanti alle vetrine di Ferragamo, impazzire per Gucci, essere travolto dall’eleganza Bulgari, o scegliere il capo perfetto da Prada - questo nuovissimo appartamento ha la capacità di ospitare 6 + 1 persone in 3 (+1) stanze da letto con, in aggiunta, la tipica terrazza sul tetto chiamata 'altana', attrezzata per godersi appieno l'atmosfera veneziana.

Qui si è circondati da pace e tranquillità ma allo stesso tempo in men che non si dica si può raggiungere il leggendario Harry's Bar, la vivace stazione delle gondole, la Chiesa di San Moisè sfarzosamente barocca con la sua facciata in stile “torta glassata” e, per chi ha un debole per l'opera e la storia, il luogo dove un tempo sorgeva l’importante Teatro di San Moisè (1620-1818).

Una spaziosa zona open space e rivolta ad est che funge da soggiorno / sala da pranzo / cucina egregiamente attrezzata che viene inondata dalla luce del mattino con ampie travi a vista, pavimenti in legno, alte finestre con balaustre decorative, tutte arredate con meticolosa attenzione ai dettagli nelle tonalità neutre del lino e con decorazioni a tema marocchino.
Una superba camera da letto padronale / suite (che pareggia quasi le dimensioni della zona giorno!) illuminata delicatamente dal bagliore delle lanterne in stile marocchino e arredata per il relax in tessuto ikat e velluto blu pavone, con un letto matrimoniale, una poltrona trapezio Eichholtz in stile Art Déco, un ampio guardaroba e un'accogliente zona studio/TV parzialmente separata dotata di divano-letto singolo.
Una camera da letto con bagno privato da mille e una notte in marmo bianco di Asiago, con piastrelle arabescate e un delizioso arco in stile mediorientale che porta a una vasca da bagno con doccia che vi inviterà a godervi il lusso, lasciatevi viziare e coccolate il vostro cuore!
Un’affascinante seconda camera da letto matrimoniale in carta da parati e tessuto d’arredo Deco Fan di Tapet-Cafe in un blu indaco ispirato alle tradizionali tinture della pelle di Fez, con un letto matrimoniale che può essere diviso su richiesta in due letti singoli, una piccola area lavoro / scrivania e un armadio a specchio traforato.
Un secondo bagno (separato) nei toni curcuma e crema, con al centro la doccia ricoperta in piastrelle di ceramica.

Una terza camera da letto doppia ricca di personalità e arredata con un rosso ricco ed affascinante e un elegante verde salvia, con letti singoli e soffitto con travi a vista e un armadio a muro.

Situato nelle vicinanze del Teatro ‘La Fenice’ e agli hotel 5 stelle Bauer e Westin Europa & The St. Regis Venice luxury Hotel, alle molteplici attrazioni di Piazza San Marco - la Basilica, il Campanile, il Palazzo Ducale, la Torre dell'Orologio, il Caffè Florian e molto altro ...
E’ inoltre situato vicino alla fermata del vaporetto Vallaresso che permette di spostarsi facilmente intorno alla città, e al “traghetto” vicino all'esclusivo Hotel Gritti Palace, che durante l'orario di servizio, traghetta i passeggeri in gondola sul Canal Grande fino al sestiere di Dorsoduro dove potrete trovare tranquillità e arte.
*L’utilizzo dell’aria condizionata e del riscaldamento sono sottoposti a limiti di legge e condominiali. Di norma il riscaldamento è disponibile da metà ottobre ametà aprile, mentre l’aria condizionata da metà aprile a metà ottobre. Per maggiori informazioni contattateci.
